I received an infographic from Chill Money that got me dreaming of a perfect Christmas.
Let’s imagine money was no issue and we don’t need to watch our Christmas budget. What would your perfect Christmas be like?
A Perfect Christmas
A Trip to Finland
When I dream about the perfect Christmas, it starts a week before the 24th December. My little family takes a trip to Finland.
I’ve always wanted to visit Finland. To go a week before Christmas, just to get you in the mood, would be a dream come true. We’d stay in one of those glass igloos.
We would get to experience the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights). We’d go on a reindeer safari and just because we could, a husky safari too.
As we’re in the area we’d HAVE to visit Santa.
Realistically this trip would cost somewhere in the region of €14,000 for 2 adults and 1 child. Definitely not something I could afford at the moment.
On our return to Ireland, where we will fly first class, it will be snowing. Just to give it ultimate Christmas vibes.
For a perfect Christmas Day, I would imagine a large family gathering. Both sides of our family coming together to celebrate the occasion. We’d exchange gifts around the Christmas tree, think Home Alone 2.
Mountains of gifts, which if I’m being realistic, 90% of these would be for Ava, the only grandchild.
The Christmas feast would be a grand affair, a 7-course meal or something as outrageous. The table will be beautifully laid out. It’s so perfect you’ll be afraid to use the cutlery, in case you upset the aesthetic.
Given the above photo, I must live in a mansion in this version of a perfect Christmas.
My perfect Christmas day would end with none of the usual tiffs and arguments, just some fun games and drinks to end a great family day.
If I was to go all out with the perfect Christmas dream, we’d end the year in New York. Getting to experience the New Year’s Eve festivities surrounding the ball drop is definitely on my travel bucket list.
So there we have it, if money was no issue, I’d be off to Finland to start my perfect Christmas.
How would your Christmas go?
Until next time,
