In this post, I want to share my activity from January 2018. At the start of January 2018, I uploaded a video to my YouTube channel to share my goals (business/personal) for the year of 2018. In this blog post, I will share my January 2018 stats and whether or not I reached those goals.

You can view the video I mentioned above here:

Business goals:

  • Upload 3 YouTube videos per week
  • Upload 1 Blog post per week
  • Daily posts on Instagram, Facebook & Twitter
    • Another fail, I haven’t managed to find a good way to interact with all these platforms that are not duplicating each other. It’s something I need to work on. If I’m being honest, I really don’t understand Twitter, what am I suppose to share via this platform? Any ideas hit me up in the comments.

January Blog Stats

January 2018 Blog Stats from Google Analytics. In this blog post, I will share my January 2018 stats and whether or not I reached those goals.

My top 3 referrers were: Pinterest with 119 views, Facebook with 60 views and Stumbleupon & YouTube with 25 views each.

Ava goals:

  • Reduce screen time
    • Somedays this worked well, some days not so much.
  • Daily “learning” activities
    • This one is tough, Ava is currently 21/22 months old and her attention span is non-existent for these activities. However I did start Tot School, I bring her to weekly sensory play classes and on daily walks outside. I feel all these activities combined have helped her develop this January.
      • She now says “Hello”, “Mama”, “Car” and sounds out the letter “c”.

Personal goals:

  • Read 1 book in each of these categories: financial, leadership and self-development
    • In January 2018 I joined the local library and took out 3 books. Turns out I read none of those borrowed. I got sucked into a reading the Forever and Ever series by E.L Todd, there are 51 books (short) in total. I spent all my free time reading this through my Kindle app. You can check it out here if you like, I found them very enjoyable: http://amzn.to/2EyQIs2
  • Spend 4 hours learning French
    • I spent 2 hours learning French. After joining the library, I learnt about the FREE online language courses they offer. The lessons are very good, but I haven’t spent enough time on this particular aspect.

Looking ahead to 2018 as a whole, my goal on YouTube is to achieve 6,000 subscribers for a total of 12,000 subscribers. In January I gained 361, realistically I need to gain 500 per month. I guess I’m going to have to research this one and hope I’m nearer the goal for February 2018.

Overall it wasn’t a terrible month. Lots to improve and lots of research if I’m going to hit those 2018 goals. I hope you’ve enjoyed reading my January 2018 review.

Until next time,

Karen x
